Westcott Space Innovators is a monthly networking event for those that work in the space sector. Join us on the 24 June where we will be joined by Adam Brocklehurst, Chartered UK and European Patent Attorney at K2 IP, who will be offering us a workshop on Intellectual Property.
In this session we’re going to look at some IP basics, bust a few myths, and look briefly at some case studies in 5G, propulsion technology and autonomous systems. We’ll cover what Intellectual Property is (it’s *not* just patents, and it includes more than you might think), why you should protect your IP, how to protect it, IP strategy and managing risks, before opening up for a Q&A.
Adam is a Chartered UK and European Patent Attorney with two decades’ experience in IP, in technology areas such as telecommunications, imaging, automotive and software-related inventions. He manages K2’s growing client base in the space sector, encompassing early-stage advisory work, analysing IP assets for more mature client businesses, and all other aspects of generation, protection and exploitation of IP. His focus is on practical and intelligible advice concentrating firmly on a client’s business strategy. He has spoken on IP strategy at various events.
