Westcott Business Incubation Centre

COVID-19 update: Applications are open as usual and we’re able to deliver the same level of support and guidance remotely. If you have any questions, please contact support@wbic.org.uk

The deadline for applying to become an Incubatee at the Westcott Business Incubation Centre is the 15 March 2021.

Our incubation programme for start-ups is designed to help you define your business idea and to develop a strong and compelling business proposition. We also provide support for rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept.

We specialise in space propulsion, 5G communications and autonomous systems, and are in the heart of the test facility network at Westcott. During your time in the Incubation Centre, we will tailor a support package for you such as access to our mentors and to business sprints to accelerate the growth of your company.

You will be able to utilise our extensive networks in both industry and academia, giving you the opportunity to discover further funding opportunities, collaborations and partnerships; and you will also have access to unique test facilities for product prototyping and validation.

The selection process generally involves the following steps:

  • Pre-filtering of applications based on ERDF eligibility criteria
  • Evaluation of applications by a panel of experts
  • Invitation to a pitch if selected
  • Offer letter to selected candidates
